HARDCOVER.

A strange a mysterious document of seniors [?], graduates [?] - it is not explicitly stated - of Manhattan's all-female Finch College. Black and white images throughout, with only a brief introduction by Dr. John H.B. Knowlton, thus: "While the visual aspect of our world still matters -- the sudden regard of a face, the apprehension of some everyday object, or simply the conflict or consonance of two colors -- while these things hold the impossibility of drama, that drama will demand its stage and its actors...the traffic that crosses this stage has its own life and volition whether it bears human faces or only the diagrams of anxiety or rapture." We suppose the young women featured here are the "traffic' to which he refers. 84 pages. Cloth quarto with wear to edges. Scarce. Further images available upon request.
